Company History

Beginning

Established by Ted F. VanVoorhis in 1979, Precision Molded Plastics was formed as an "ultra-small parts" specialty molder primarily supporting the electronics and emerging computer industries. Mr. VanVoorhis, a charter member of the Southern California chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers, quickly established Precision as the premier molder in the field of what is known today as "micromolding."

Looking Forward

In 2004, Mr. VanVoorhis's son, David, assumed leadership of the company and was appointed as its President/CEO in 2009, which he still is today. Carrying on the tradition of the company's focus on high quality production standards and personalized customer service, and leading the corporation through the acquisitions of other businesses, Mr. VanVoorhis has grown Precision from a small, family-run business into a leader in the industry.
